From the May issue 2011 of Dog's Monthly, written by Gaynor Gunn, owner of this web site.

NB. Changes have been made to the original legislation of 2000 as of January 2012 abolishing the tick treatment requirement and allowing up to 5 days for the tape-worming treatment to take place before returning to the UK.   There has also been a relaxation in the time requirements after vaccination for blood testing etc. For further information about travelling with dogs and cats consult the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs - www.defra.gov.uk > travelling with pets> bringing pets into the UK after 1January 2012 or contact the helpline on 0870 241 1710.
