Swimming
On site, in our lovely flowing fresh water private lake. Swimming pools at
Thiviers and Chalus and Jumilhac Le Grand.
Fishing
On site, private lake fishing stocked with carp, roach, rudd and perch. Locally,
a trout farm with day fishing and bag limit. Other lake fishing at La Barde
in La Coquille. Fishing permit required for limited time and bag limit. Permits
obtainable from the bar.

Boating
On site. At our lake enjoy messing about in the rowing boat or if you're a sailor
have some fun in the Mirror dinghy.
Observing Wildlife
A nature lover's dream location. A great oportunity for everyone to observe
the wild life, birds and the animals inhabiting the area. See Taisy's

Tennis
There are tennis courts in La Coquille. The charge is EURO 7 an hour. The key
obtained from the newsagent's shop in the main street. Also at Jumilhac Le Grand.
Cycling
Dordogne Cycle Hire provides a range of bikes, buggies, child seats and tag-a-longs suitable for the whole family and will deliver to the cottage. If you're interested in hiring bikes during your stay contact them well in advance and they will make sure the bikes are here for when you arrive. Horse Riding
There are excellent stables at Jumilhac Le Grand, which is just a five minute's drive away. You can book a ride for a half or full day and they are happy to give children tuition. The National Stud headquarters at Pompadour is about an hour's drive with a lovely race course and where you can tour the stables.
Golf
There are Municipal golf courses at Périgueux and Limoges, open to the public. Also mini-golf (18 holes, open all year) at Jumilhac Le Grand. A 9 hole course near Excideuil (about a 30 minute drive) with nice club house facilities. You are welcome to stay all day and play as many rounds as you wish.
Canoeing
Canoes can be hired at Brantôme (See Canoeing on the River Dronne). Also
at Montignac and Les Eyzies on the River Vézère. There are various
canoe hire pick-up and drop-off locations along the River Dordogne.
Walking
Being the Regional Natural Park of the Perigord Limousin we´re fortunate
in having well signposted and maintained pathways with a choice of routes through
fields and woodland. This is country walking ´well off the beaten track´.
Skate Park
Open air skate park, free, for both roller skates and skate boarders. At Jumilhac
Le Grand.
Cliff Climbing
All levels. At Jumilhac Le Grand.
Go-Karting
On the RN21 direction Limoges, past Chalus. Well sign posted.
Gold Panning
Gold was discovered at Jumilhac Le Grand from the 1st Century. And today the
rich seam still yields some 2 tons of gold a year. Enjoy an afternoon gold panning.
